Attached are the files relating to the ANPA AGM to be held tomorrow October 4 via ZOOM video conferencing.
Acting Treasurer David Lewis has submitted the following 2019-20 Financial and Auditors Report.
A loss of $8,496 is reported. ANPA reports on a cash basis and this is part of the reason for the result.
The abnormal items that have impacted this result are as follows.
Rings last year cost us over $2,000 more than a normal year impacted mainly by the late delivery and then having to use Express international delivery to get them here on time. The exchange rate was also unfavourable compared to prior years. The amount of this was around $2,000.
Accountancy Fees, the accounts show two payments for MYOB fees in the year. Extra payment of $500
There were five newsletters paid in the year compared to the normal four, both Printing and postage is impacted. Extra cost of $2,000.
Prepayment of expenses for the National Show. Deposits were paid for the Venue and als o the Dinner venue. These are now obviously held over until next year’s National Cost $3,500
This is a total of $8,000 which would have seen the accounts with a small loss. It should be noted that there was a $14,000 profit made in the prior year when lower costs were experienced due to the cash accounting impacts e.g. only three newsletters so these fluctuations from one year to the next are not unfamiliar.
The only other thing to note this year is membership is down by $2,000. Again this can be just a timing thing when renewals fall due. Werner Zimmer will obviously report on where membership numbers are at.
ANPA is still in a strong financial position with strong assets.
