History of ANPA

The first known attempt to create an Australian National Pigeon Club was made in 1948, and I believe there was at least one other effort before it finally happened in 1981. If you compare the ANPA National Show in Adelaide in 2005 to the first show in Sydney in 1982 you can see the effort was well worthwhile.

Members should have received their copy of the May ANPA Newsletter in the last few weeks.

ANPA Audit 07-09

The audit of ANPA’s books from September 1, 2007, to March 31, 2009, has been completed, and will be tabled at the AGM in Adelaide on July 11.

27th ANPA National Show

The South Australian Canary and Pigeon Club is hosting the 27th ANPA National Pigeon Show in Adelaide from JULY 10-12 2009.

The ANPA Standards Book

The ANPA Book of Australian Fancy Pigeons is a must-have resource for the serious exhibitor. Edited by the Reverend Colin Seymour, it is internationally acclaimed and sought after. The book comes in a binder which allows changes in individual breed standards to be made without having to buy an entirely new publication.
