A significant number of ANPA members who purchased the orange plastic 2016 rings through their affiliated clubs have recently reported that the rings are brittle and easily broken and include some that have shattered after being used on young birds.
It is the first year ANPA has used rings from this new supplier. Their samples obtained by ANPA’s ring secretary and seen by members of the Committee indicated they were equal in quality to the previous German supplier and appeared considerably cheaper.
Affiliated club members who wish to replace failed or unused orange 2016 rings should contact their Ring Secretary before 15 December. Those failed and unused rings must be returned to your ring Secretary for an equal number of replacements free of cost or postage.
The Club will return those failed and unused rings to ANPA to assist discussion with the manufacturing supplier. Members requiring reimbursement for postage of failed or unused rings can be credited to their next ring order.
Extra new rings may be available at normal cost plus postage.
