The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) has restricted aggregation of domesticated pigeons by banning sales, shows and racing within NSW due to a second confirmed case of pigeon paramyxovirus in Sydney that follows the first reported case in May.

Alan Strachan, ANPA Secretary, reports: I have received all voting material of the 2012 Election from Larry Horder. Larry had decided because of previous accusations and allegations re the results of previous ballots to return all material to the Secretary. Upon receipt I then arranged a meeting with the current President to scrutinise that all votes had been counted correctly, as per our constitution,.
Rule 8. (e) When a member casts a vote they must sign the ballot paper. Signatures will be removed once the election results have been scrutinised by the President.
Update by Dr Colin Walker: On Tuesday the 29th of May the 60 pigeons in the PMV vaccine testing program were caught by myself and again taken to the Melbourne Bird Veterinary Clinic. All birds were weighed, examined and had blood collected. All birds were found to be in good health and in fact they had averaged a 5% weight gain.
